Annie's Traditional Food Creates 10 New Jobs
Garvagh based Annie's Traditional Food Ltd will create 10 new jobs over the next two years as part of a £280,000 expansion announced by Invest Northern Ireland’s Chief Executive Alastair Hamilton.
Established in 2010 by brothers Brian and Sean Mullan and Michael Devine, Annie’s Traditional Food manufactures a range of ready meals, soups and other convenience products for retail and wholesale trade customers.
As part of its strategic development, the company will be pursuing sales opportunities in the Republic of Ireland for the first time. With support from Invest NI’s Jobs Fund, Annie’s Traditional Food will employ 10 new staff members across a variety of roles to facilitate the planned growth in business activity. These include administration, sales and marketing, production and delivery. Recruitment has started and 3 jobs are already in place.
Speaking following a visit to the company, Alastair Hamilton said: "Invest NI's Jobs Fund has helped many companies like Annie’s Traditional Food to get help to create jobs quickly. This investment will support the company's aims for future growth and ensure it has the resources in place to secure new export sales.
"Creating jobs is so important to revitalising our economy. I would encourage other local businesses that are looking to grow and create jobs to get in touch with us."

Offshore Company Axes Jobs
Around 150 jobs in Aberdeen and Dundee have been axed after an offshore services company ceased trading. Oceanteam Power and Umbilical has been forced to close when the firm's holding company withdrew its financial support. Staff are based in Aberdeen, at workshops in Dundee and offshore.
