Police investigate lamb slaughter
Police have launched an investigation into the killing of four sheep and 11 lambs at a farm in Co Tyrone.
Police believe two or three people carried out the attack in which all the animals either had the necks broken or were hit over the head with a blunt instrument.
Brendan McLaughlin, who owns the sheep, claimed on Tuesday that the attack had been carried out by people with a grudge against him.
The Co Tyrone farmer confirmed that gun shots were fired at his house and his son's car three weeks ago.
The USPCA described today's attack as the worst case of pre-meditated animal cruelty it had ever come across in the province.
