Ryanair complete Buzz move despite non-approval

Ireland's budget airline, Ryanair has completed its takeover of rival Buzz, despite not getting approval from the relevant authorities.

While the airline does not legally require approval from the Office of Fair Trading, the Competition Commission may conclude the deal as uncompetitive.

Ryanair had originally been waiting for the deal to be given the green light at the beginning of this month.

However, the decision was put off because of competition concerns.

The deal will see Ryanair add 10 Buzz aircraft to its fleet and 130 staff working at Stansted airport.
