Men Released In David Black Investigation

The two men arrested by police investigating the murder of prison officer David Black have been released unconditionally.

The men, aged 34 and 42, were arrested in Coalisland, County Tyrone on Wednesday morning.

Mr Black was shot as he drove to work on the M1 in County Armagh on 1 November.

A new dissident republican paramilitary group calling itself the IRA admitted carrying out the killing.

MPs Debate NI Security Situation Following David Black Murder
MPs have begun debating a DUP motion calling for the fullest possible protection to members of the prison service and the security forces. The move follows the murder of prison officer David Black, who was shot as he drove to work on 1 November. The North Belfast MP Nigel Dodds introduced the motion, tabled by all eight DUP MPs.

Man Arrested Over David Black Murder Released
A man who was arrested over the murder of prison officer David Black has been released. The 46-year-old man from the Lurgan area was the fourth person to be arrested and released during investigations. 52-year-old father of two David Black was shot on the M1 on Thursday morning last week as he drove to work at Maghaberry prison.

Two Men Arrested Over Police Officer Probe Released
Two men arrested in connection with the attempted murder of a police officer have been released. The men were detained on Monday following the incident in Dungiven, L'Derry. They were both released today, 28 April.

David Black Murder Accused Arrested In Donegal
Damien McLaughlin has been arrested in Donegal under a European Arrest Warrant as part of a joint operation between Irish police and the PSNI. McLaughlin, 40, was wanted in connection with the murder of prison officer David Black, who was murdered as he travelled to work in November 2012.
