Mullan Training Offer RTI PAYE Workshops

A Belfast IT company has announced training workshops to help small businesses prepare for the new 'Real Time Information' (RTI) PAYE reporting system.

Mullan Training is offering Sage RTI workshops as a preparation for the change in payroll legislation; one of the biggest since 1944.

Starting in April 2013, RTI is being introduced by HM Revenue & Customs (HMRC).

It means employers will be required to submit information to HMRC about PAYE payments throughout the year as part of a monthly payroll process, rather than at the end of the year as is currently the case.

But RTI will only affect the submission of PAYE information, as payment arrangements will remain unchanged.

Under the new legislation, most employers will be legally required to report payroll information in real time from April 2013.

All employers will be required to do so before October 2013. HMRC will notify the relevant companies as to when these changes need to be implemented.

Mullan Training is now offering training in Sage 50 Payroll and Instant Payroll software.

The courses will be held in Belfast city centre, but the company are also offering closed training courses on company premises.

The workshops will cover the different online submissions required, how to ensure payroll data is RTI compliant and will offer demo environments for practising RTI routines.

Mullan’s courses are intended to explain why RTI is being introduced and how it affects payroll processing, as well as providing information on how to prepare data so that it is RTI ready

Training will also be given on how to identify and correct mistakes that may occur when processing under RTI.

More information is available on the company website.
