125 New Jobs For Louth

Labour T.D. Gerald Nash has welcomed the announcement of 125 new jobs for Louth, which will be created by the decision of Nextag, Inc. to locate their new international HQ in Drogheda.

Nextag are one of the largest on-line independent comparison shopping companies and are a part of Wize Commerce Shopping Network.

Speaking at the launch Deputy Nash said: "This is a huge vote of confidence in Drogheda following hot on the heels of the recent announcement by Yapstone that they also will be locating here. The IDA must be congratulated on another success. I have met with them several times in the last year and they have really taken on board the message of what Drogheda has to offer. I hope that we will continue to hear good news and reinforce the view of Drogheda as a top location for companies to invest in.

"There have been a lot of good news indicators recently across the country. The purchasing managers index for manufacturing has been consistently high for almost a year. That has now been joined by a high rating for the services sector. Our exports are booming despite the slowdown across Europe. If this continues we will see a sustained recovery in our economy. It will take time and it will be difficult but it will happen."
