NAMA To Fund Development Of Investment Projects
Finance Minister Sammy Wilson has welcomed funding being made available by NAMA for the development of investment projects in Northern Ireland.
Mr Wilson said: "As part of their commitment to supporting economic activity and employment in Northern Ireland, NAMA has approved lending of over £100million to Northern Ireland debtors.
"At a time when lending is constrained, the approval of this funding will provide a much needed boost for the construction and property sectors in Northern Ireland.
"While £60million of this relates to projects that are located in Great Britain, they are in the main, being managed from Northern Ireland, helping to support further employment and business activity through these difficult times."
The Department has been advised by NAMA that funding has been made available for a range of residential and commercial projects, including projects in the office, retail shopping centre, retail park and hospitality sectors.
