Local companies offered a fresh creative approach

Businesses interested in increasing profitability by releasing the creative potential of their people and products are being invited to come along to a half-day seminar being run by Invest NI.

The seminar, which takes place in Belfast on the 14th April, promises to shed light on the innovation process and to show companies how they can stimulate a creative, innovative environment in the workplace.

Tracy Meharg, Managing Director of Innovation and Capability Services in Invest NI, says that the seminar is relevant to all businesses that accept the need to maximise commercial benefits from the capture and exploitation of creative thinking within their business.

“Innovation in all its forms is recognised as a key component of sustained competitiveness. It is not only about ingenious ideas and new products but also about helping businesses to become more competitive by increasing their capability and helping them make continuous incremental improvements.

“To create long-term economic success in Northern Ireland we need our entrepreneurs, companies, education and public sectors to maximise their creative potential.”

The seminar is being run by Invest NI in partnership with Capita Learning and Development and A&B, Arts and Business Northern Ireland, and will be presented by innovation specialists ?WhatIf!

The seminar will offer entertainment and fun but will underline the serious message about the value of creativity in business processes, and will give participants practical approaches to take back to their businesses.
