Catering company secures multi-million pound airport contract
A local catering company has secured a seven-year contract with Derry City Airport worth nearly £4 million.
Select Service Partner Airport & Marine Restaurants Ltd's (SSP) contract encompasses the operation of three catering facilities: a food village landside which will incorporate Tastte! sandwiches, salads, and Baxters soup as well as a selection of snacks, drinks and confectionery.
Also included in the contract is a retail outlet situated landside, (before passport control) and a cafe bar situated airside offering a selection of drinks and snacks.
Commenting on the deal, Richard Nieto, Managing Director of SSP Airport & Marine Restaurants said: “We are delighted to have been awarded this new seven year contract. SSP, as part of Compass Group, the world’s largest foodservice organisation, is committed to providing high quality products and first-class service to all of our customers.”
Mayor, Councillor Kathleen McCloskey of Derry council, added: This is a first class development for the airport and one that will provide excellence in a specialist retail environment. We look forward to this new working relationship with SSP.”

New Jobs Announced In Belfast International Airport Expansion
