EA Announces 300 New Jobs For Galway
Fine Gael Galway Senator, Fidelma Healy Eames, has welcomed the announcement by An Taoiseach, Enda Kenny, that computer gaming giant, EA, will create 300 new jobs at its European Customer Experience Centre of Excellence in Galway.
The jobs have been created with the assistance of the Irish Government through IDA Ireland.
"I am delighted that EA has given Galway this ringing endorsement. These jobs will represent great news to 300 individuals and their families in Galway.
"The Government has deliberately promoted Ireland as an ideal location for companies in the tech sector. This decision is a real endorsement of Ireland’s ability to meet the needs of leading multinational companies in the digital media space.
"What's particularly encouraging is that EA are going back to the Irish jobs market less than a year after they opened their original facility in Ireland.
"The announcement is a strong vote of confidence in Ireland’s ability to meet the needs of leading multinational companies in the digital media space. I believe that, as a country we need to focus on producing the technology talent needed by companies such as EA so as we can continue to attract tech companies here."
