Search Resumes For 'Disappeared' Victim
The search has resumed for the remains of one of the so call 'Disappeared' victims, Columba McVeigh, in Bragan, County Monaghon.
Mr McVeigh was 19 when he was taken from his Dunaghmore home, and murdered by the IRA in 1975.
The Independent Commission for the Location of Victims' Remains (ICVLR) released a statement which said: "We are keen to stress that this is a continuation of the previous operation and not a new piece of work.
"It is based on a refinement of information received to date and also on a series of surveys undertaken by ICLVR staff in recent months in the forested area."
"It is anticipated that this programme will last for approximately ten to twelve weeks subject to weather conditions."

North Belfast Murder Victim Conor McKee Shot A Number Of Times
31-year-old north Belfast murder victim Conor McKee was shot a number of times, police have revealed. Mr McKee was found dead by his mother at his Glenpark Street home last Thursday night. Two men arrested over the murder have been released on bail.

Search Begins For 'Disappeared' Victim
A new search has begun for the remains of Columba McVeigh this morning in county Monaghan. The 17-year-old from Donaghmore in County Tyrone was abducted by the IRA is 1975. He was working in Dublin at the time and had returned to Northern Ireland a few days before he disappeared.

Portadown car crash victim named
The woman killed in a road accident near Portadown in Co Armagh yesterday has been named as Ellen McDowell, 32, from Castlewellan Road, Banbridge. The woman was killed when the car she was in was in collision with a lorry at around 12 pm on Monday. Three other people were hurt in the collision.

Banbridge Shooting: Man Hands Himself Into Police
A 34-year-old man has been arrested in connection with an attempted murder in Banbridge. On Friday, 12 April, a 40-year-old man was shot by a masked man as he sat in a vehicle in a car park on the Rathfriland Road. The shooting victim remains in a critical condition in hospital.
