Invest NI Helps NI Firms

Northern Ireland companies are being helped by Invest Northern Ireland to grasp the business opportunities from the projected growth in online sales over the next five years.

Invest NI is holding a series of Boosting Business workshops to help companies gain practical skills in eBusiness in the areas of Pay Per Click advertising, online selling and conversion and user experience that could help to improve sales, especially outside Northern Ireland.

The eBusiness Advice Clinics, being held in Ballymena, Craigavon and Omagh, will show how to take advantage of the projected 10 per cent compound annual growth in online sales in the UK over the next five years.

Tracy Meharg, Invest NI's Executive Director, Business Solutions said: "There will be some 190 million Europeans shopping online in 2014, generating an expected €114 billion worth of sales. Knowing how to reach these customers could enable companies to grow their business successfully by achieving higher sales. At our eBusiness clinics we will have experts who will demonstrate the importance of choosing the best eCommerce platform, and the effective use of online advertising to reach new customers and drive online sales."
