Man Charged With East Belfast Murder

A 29-year-old man has been charged with the murder of a man in east Belfast, and will appear at Newtownards Magistrates Court for a hearing on Thursday.

The body of George Gray, a 52-year-old father-of-three, was found by a friend at his Cregagh Road home on Friday evening.

A 34-year-old who died yesterday in Musgrave police station in Belfast was in custody in connection with Mr Gray's death, having been arrested on Saturday.

A woman, aged 62, who was arrested on Monday has now been released on police bail.

Man arrested over Electoral Office fraud
A 58-year-old man from Co Tyrone has been arrested and charged following a police investigation into irregularities at an Electoral Office in the west of the province. The man was charged with 30 offences, 17 of which relate to theft and 13 of fake accounting. He will appear before a court in Omagh on November 11.

Man Released On Bail Over Lurgan Murder
A man arrested in connection with a murder in Lurgan on Sunday, 06 August, has been released on bail pending further enquiries. The body of a man, aged 45, was discovered at a flat on Victoria Street. Police are appealing for anyone with information to contact them.

Arrests & Searches In CIRA Probe
Two men have been arrested following a number of police searches into the Continuity IRA. A 37-year-old man arrested under the Terrorism Act in Newtownabbey on Thursday evening, 29 August, remains in custody this morning. He was taken to Musgrave Serious Crime Suite for questioning.
