NI Motorcyclist Dies In Manx Collision
NI motorcyclist Trevor Ferguson, 48, has died following an incident at 'The Nook' on the approach to Governors Dip, during the SuperTwin Manx Grand Prix Race on the Isle of Man.
Trevor, a shop owner, was an experienced racer on the Mountain Course. He first competed in the 2006 Manx Grand Prix and took part in six meetings. He had a highest placed sixth in the 2008 Junior Manx Grand Prix and recorded 12 finishes around the Mountain Course including an 11th place in this year's Junior Manx Grand Prix, for which he received a replica.
Trevor, who was TT and MGP race winner Ryan Farquhar's Uncle, was competing on one of Ryan’s KMR Kawasaki’s and was running in second place on the second lap of today’s SuperTwin race when the incident occurred.
Harvey Garton, Chairman of the Manx Motor Cycle Club, commented: "Trevor was a major part of the Manx Grand Prix family and his support for the event was hugely appreciated. He was a very committed rider who loved racing around the Mountain Course on the Isle of Man and was enjoying a strong race today. On behalf of the Manx Motor Cycle Club I would like to extend my deepest sympathy to his family and friends."
Trevor was married with three children and his next of kin have been informed.

Sports World Faces Up To Tragedies
Sporting tragedies have been flooding Northern Ireland over the past few days with the NI Sports Minister Carál Ní Chuilín moved to express her sadness at a series of sporting deaths over the weekend. She spoke out after Len Ganley, the legendary snooker referee, died at his home in Lurgan.

New Grand Secretary Of Orange Order Elected
A new Grand Secretary of the Orange Order has been elected. Rev Mervyn Gibson was appointed following a meeting of the Loyal Order's ruling body. The Belfast Orangeman and Presbyterian Minister succeeds Drew Nelson who passed away earlier this year.

The Dundrod and District Club issued a statement explaining the "real and imminent danger" facing the international road race after a severe weather warning deterred crowds from attending this year's event.
