Gary Moane Sentencing Adjourned
Sentencing has been adjourned for the third time after a man admitted fatally stabbing a former Fermanagh GAA player.
Gary Philip Moane, 37, who is presently in custody, killed Ciaran Woods on 20th July 2010.
The prosecution said they needed more time to study a new report.
Moane is due to be sentenced on 11th September.

Alleged Stab Death Man Remanded
There was no application for bail as the man accused of the fatal stabbing of another man while at a house party this week in Co Fermanagh appeared in court. Gary Philip Moane, 34, from Lisolvan Park in Brookeborough, County Fermanagh was remanded in custody until 16 August when he will appear via video link at Enniskillen Magistrates court.

Loyalist Knight Sentencing Adjourned
Prominent loyalist Torrens Knight's sentencing for a brutal assault on two sisters was adjourned today. Knight, a convicted UFF killer, was found guilty of attacking the women in a Coleraine bar last month. The Greysteel gunman was returned to prison and had his early release licence suspended following the court ruling.

Former university vice-chancellor admits drink driving charge
The former vice-chancellor of the University of Ulster has today pleaded guilty to charges of drink-driving. Professor Gerry McKenna, 52, did not appear at Coleraine Magistrates Court earlier today. His solicitor appeared on his behalf, confirming that he had admitted to the drink driving offence.

Man found guilty of causing death by dangerous driving
A west Belfast man has been convicted of causing the deaths of two children by dangerous driving. After 45 minutes deliberation the jury unanimously convicted 44-year-old Wayne Johnston, formerly from the Highfield estate, of two counts of causing death by dangerous driving at Belfast's Crown Court earlier today.

Man Faces Jail For Animal Cruelty
A man has been told by a District Judge he faces jail for causing cruelty to an animal. Defendant Gregory Boyd, 44 from Rasharkin, pleaded guilty to the charge of causing unnecessary suffering to a bull. The animal was being transported to an abattoir on 7 July 2011.
