Jordanian Paralympians Will Return To NI To Face Court
Three members of Jordan's Paralympics team will definitely return to Northern Ireland to face court over sex offence charges, the country's authorities have said.
Power lifter Omar Sami Qaradhi (31), a wheelchair user, faces three charges of sexual assault, two against a child, and one of voyeurism after allegedly entering a women's changing room at the Antrim Forum Leisure Centre.
Team trainer Faisal Hammash (35) is accused of inciting two girls to engage in sexual activity.
Power lifter Motaz Al Junaidi (45), who is also a wheelchair user, is accused of sexual assault.
The men were sent back to Amman yesterday after the charges came to light, but authorities have insisted they will attend court in Northern Ireland on October 18.
Lisburn Pumps Company Exports To Poland
A Northern Irish company has secured its first export business in Poland after an Invest NI trade mission to the eastern European country.
Robert Craig and Sons, a specialist in industrial pumps, is now supplying its eco-friendly fuel polishing system to Loadbanks, an equipment business in Warsaw.
David Craig said Poland's strong engineering heritage would combine with a developing focus on environmental issues to secure their sales potential there.
He said: "What the system does is to eliminate the threat pollution of the environment caused by diesel fuel that has deteriorated through water penetration and may have to be dumped in a landfill site."
