Ballymoney firm receives top European distributor award

Northern Forklift, the distributor for STILL forklift trucks and warehouse handling equipment in Northern Ireland, has been named Best Performing STILL Distributor for 2002 for the second year running.

In addition, Northern Forklift won STILL’s highest European accolade for achieving the greatest market share percentage of any STILL Distributor throughout Europe.

Director Sean McCarry was awarded the UK accolade on the basis of improved performance in key business areas including overall sales of new STILL trucks, market share, service, and premises.

In October 2002, Northern Forklift opened a new, purpose-built Sales and Service Centre on the Mallusk Road, an investment of over £1 million which, while providing a number of new job opportunities for local people, enabled Northern Forklift to offer faster service response times to its growing customer list in and around Belfast.

The Centre, with its team of experienced logistics engineers, can provide advice and assistance on truck specifications whether for a single machine or a fleet comprising a mix of counterbalance and warehouse equipment.

The company’s principal Northern Ireland workshop remains at Ballymoney, Co Antrim, where the management and administration units are situated.
