£1m Lottery Win Remains Unclaimed

A lottery ticket bought in Northern Ireland has won £1m but the lucky winner has not come forward.

The ticket for the Euromillions draw on Friday 3 August won the millionaire raffle.

It was bought in the Fermanagh, South Tyrone area.

For every EuroMillions line, UK players automatically receive a millionaire raffle selection printed on their ticket. The winning selection on 3 August was GCR760097.

The ticket-holder has until Wednesday 30 January, 2013, to claim their prize.

Car Crashes Through Rail Barrier

The railway line between Coleraine and Portrush has re-opened following a car crash at a level crossing.

It is understood a car crashed through the barrier at Arterial Road shortly after 07:00 BST on Tuesday.

The incident may have been caught by CCTV cameras.

Less than 24 hours earlier, Translink highlighted a major initiative to warn people of the dangers of railway level crossings.

CS Lewis Letters Donated To Queen’s

Letters written by Belfast-born writer CS Lewis to a friend have been donated to Queen's University.

The ten rare unpublished letters were sent between 1944 and 1960 to his friend, Captain Bernard Acworth.

In the letters, Lewis outlined his own views on religion and the origins of life.

CS Lewis is best known for his children's series The Chronicles of Narnia.

Warning Issued Amid Increase In Reports Of Ticket Fraud
The PSNI have warned people trying to buy tickets for popular and sold-out events to be on their guard against fraudulent sellers. The appeal for vigilance follows continuing reports of ticket fraud from people across Northern Ireland, with individual losses amounting to hundreds of pounds.

Translink Announces Bus And Rail Fare Increases
Translink NI has announced fare increases on bus and rail services from Monday 03 June. The public transport provider has announced an increase its average fares by 6% for bus and 10% for rail. According to reports, Metro ticket prices will increase by an average of 10p, with Ulsterbus and Goldliner tickets potentially increasing by as much as 50p.

Scam Warning Issued Following Taylor Swift Ticket Fraud
The PSNI in Derry City & Strabane have warned people to be wary of scammers following a report this week of a person who thought they'd bought tickets online for a Taylor Swift concert only to find out they'd been swindled. According to police, it was reported that a person had found tickets for the concert on an online platform.

Almost £300,000 Lost To Ticket Fraud In 2023
People have been urged to be wary of scammers when booking concert and event tickets, after figures revealed that almost £300,000 was lost to ticket fraud in Northern Ireland in 2023. Data from Action Fraud shows nationally £6.7 million was lost to this type of crime. In Northern Ireland the total reported losses came in at £291,344.
