Man shot in both ankles in Londonderry
A man has been treated for gunshot wounds to both ankles following a paramilitary-style attack in Londonderry.
The 18-year-old was attacked close to a petrol station in the Shantallow area of the city on Thursday night.
Elsewhere, the home of an elderly woman in Belfast has been ransacked.
A man tricked the 79-year-old woman into leaving her Carryduff home after promising to install a fence behind her house.
However, when she left through her front door and walked around the back, the man entered quickly and ransack her home.
Although nothing was taken, the pensioner was said to be in deep shock.

Man Shot In County Down
A 28-year-old man has been shot in the leg in a gun attack in County Down. The man was getting out of his car at the Quays in Killyleagh at about 1.00am on Wednesday morning when a man approached him and shot him. The man is recovering in hospital where his injuries are not thought to be life threatening.

Home of elderly couple robbed in north Belfast
Detectives in north Belfast are appealing for information after the home of an elderly couple was robbed early this morning. An intuder is believed to have entered through the rear of the house on the Deerpark Road at around 1.30am on Wednesday.

Man Arrested In Connection With Dromara Assault
A 22-year-old man has been arrested in connection with a report of an assault at licenced premises at the Rathfriland Road area of Dromara. Detective Inspector Bell said: "Shortly before 10:10pm on Friday 15th December, it was reported that an altercation occurred at a bar in the area following three men refused entry to the premises.

Man Dies In Portadown Road Crash
An 18-year-old man has died following a collision in Portadown. The crash happened on the Dungannon Road between midnight and 12.30am on Wednesday, 08 November. The road has been re-opened. Elsewhere, a man, aged in his 30's, has died in a road collision in Co Antrim.
