Cannabis Plants Found In Larne

Police have seized £30,000 worth of suspected cannabis plants in Larne.

A raid on a house in Old Glenarm Road yielded 60 of the plants, which have been taken away for investigation.

PSNI inspector Noel Rogan said: "Over £100,000 worth of suspected cannabis has been taken off the streets since May this year."

Bomb Blast Victim's Daughter Calls For Investigation

The daughter of a former UDR soldier killed by the Real IRA in Londonderry 10 years ago has called for a fresh investigation into his death.

David Caldwell died after picking up a lunch box packed with explosives at a TA base in the Waterside in 2002.

His daughter Gillian McFaul said: "There was no justice, but I'd love to see justice to sort of close the book."

"He missed my formal, he'll miss the day that I'll be married, the day I have my first child or whatever, he'll miss all of that.

"I'd like my father's case to be reopened because it's 10 years now and I'd like some kind of action to show they're doing something."

Missing Man Search Continues

The search for a missing 24-year-old is continuing in the Portrush area.

Dean Patton has been missing since 1pm on Tuesday, July 24.

He is about 6ft tall with dark hair and a tanned complexion and was wearing a black t-shirt with blue jeans.

Police have asked anyone who may have seen Mr Patton to contact them.

21-Year-Old Charged With The Murder Of His Mother
A 21-year-old man has appeared in court charged in connection with the murder of a 43-year-old woman in east Belfast on Friday, 13 September. The suspect has been named by the PSNI as Nathan Simpson, and he is charged with the murder of his mother, Rachel Simpson, at her home on the Castlereagh Road last Friday.

21-Year-Old Charged With Murder Of Woman In East Belfast
A 21-year-old man is due to appear in Belfast Magistrate's Court today charged with with murder of a woman in east Belfast. Responding to a 'concern for safety' report, police attended a house on the Castlereagh Road shortly before 10.30pm on Friday, 13 September.

A new three-year economic and business growth plan has been announced by Economy Minister, Conor Murphy. The Minister launched the publication, 'Three-Year Forward Look and 2024/25 Business Plan', at the latest Northern Ireland Chamber of Commerce and Industry Public Affairs Forum.

Two People Charged Over Kevin Davidson Murder
Two people have been charged with the murder of Kevin Davidson whose body was found at a property on Donegall Avenue on Saturday 20 July. Detectives from the Police Service of Northern Ireland's Major Investigation Team have charged a 32-year-old man and a 35-year-old woman with the murder of Mr Davidson who was reported missing earlier this month.
