Woman threatened during armed robbery

A female shop assistant was threatened with a knife during an armed robbery at a convenience store in south Belfast last night.

At around 7.20pm, a youth entered the shop on the Upper Lisburn Road and produced a large kitchen knife.

He then ordered the staff member to open a till before leaving with a sum of cash.

The robber is described as around 6 ' tall, of thin build. He has a long face and clean shaven and of pale complexion. He was wearing a navy baseball cap, a navy jacket, a dark/light blue horizontal striped shirt, blue jeans and a dark brown leather belt with a gold buckle.

Police have appealed for anyone with information to come forward.

Woman Threatened During Armed Robbery
A masked man armed with a knife entered an off licence in the Main Street, Portglenone on Sunday night. A female member of staff working at the time of the robbery was threatened, but was not injured. A sum of money was taken as the man made off on foot.

Shop Worker Threatened With Knife In West Belfast Robbery
A female shop worker has been threatened with a knife during a burglary in west Belfast. The incident happened in the Lanark Way area in the early hours of Friday, 27 April. A man held the knife to a member of staff and demanded her to open the till. He left the shop and also threatened another worker.
