Red Arrows Flypast Marks Start Of Olympics
The Red Arrows flew over Belfast at lunchtime today in a celebration to mark the start of the London Olympics.
Earlier, the bells on Londonderry's two cathedrals and those at two venues in Belfast rang out in harmony.
The public was encouraged to ring some kind of bell at 8:12am, twelve hours before the start of the opening ceremony.
The Red Arrows flew over City Hall, up Donegall Place and across south Belfast just after 1pm and the grounds of City Hall were packed with people hoping to catch a glimpse.
They did a flypast in each of the UK's capital cities.
And tonight, Belfast City Council will screen the opening ceremony live from London on a screen in the grounds of the City Hall.
Entertainment there from 7.30pm will include music, fire performers, carnival drummers and acrobats.
And those attending will be encouraged to take part in a sing-along as part of the opening ceremony.

Belfast City Hall Screen To Show Olympics Closing Ceremony
The screen outside Belfast City Hall where sports coverage has played throughout the Olympics will be the site of a celebration party this weekend. As Northern Ireland celebrates the success of local athletes in rowing and boxing among other sports, the screen will show the Olympic closing ceremony.

Primark Donates £500,000 To Support Businesses Affected By Fire
Retailer Primark is donating £500,000 to Belfast City Council's City Recovery Investment Fund. The fund is being set up after a number of businesses have been severely affected by the fire at the Bank Buildings which happened over three weeks ago. A cordon remains in place and 14 firms have been closed for up to four months.
