Diesel Theft Lorry Found
A lorry used to steal up o 25,000 litres of diesel from tanks at a north Down quarry has been found in Lisburn.
The lorry, thought to have been stolen in Donaghcloney, was found on Blairs Road in the early hours of this morning.
It had been used in the theft of the diesel at Craigantlet Quarry earlier this week.
A 30-year-old man has been arrested.
Boy Attacked By Japanese Hunting Dog
A 12-year-old who was attacked by an Akita dog on Tuesday night said he feared for his life when it happened.
Caomhim McFadden was playing with friends in Galliagh, Derry, when the dog latched on to his arm, leaving bite marks on his arm so severe his mother went into shock.
Caomhin said: "It was so sore, my whole arm was all ripped open. It was the biggest dog I ever saw. I love dogs but I'm scared now."
The dog is being held by Derry City Council while an investigation is carried out.
Pipe Band Championships In Belfast This Weekend
Stormont Estate in Belfast will play host to the European Pipe Band Championships for the third year running tomorrow.
As well as piping, there will be competitions for drum majors and highland dancers.
Belfast's Lord Mayor Gavin Robinson will act as Chieftain for the event.
He said: "Piping has a great following all over the world, cutting across a lot of traditions and it is great to see everyone putting their all into the competition."

Hero Army Dog Handlers Honoured
Murdered soldiers who worked with specialist 'sniffer' dogs during the Northern Ireland Troubles have been remembered. The 'Red Paw' and its work across Northern Ireland was the subject of a special memorial service held in England at the weekend. It was in honour of the six dog handlers and two sniffer dogs killed in Northern Ireland.

Pipe-bomb found at 'Mad Dog' Adair's home
Army technical officers have been tasked to examine a device found at the home of UDA 'C' Company leader Johnny Adair. A close associate of the notorious UDA commander and former UDP spokesperson John White claimed the device exploded at Adair's Boundary Walk home in the lower Shankill estate at 6am this morning.

More than 2,000 musicians in over 70 Pipe Bands are expected to converge in L'Derry this summer to contest the 68th All Ireland Pipe Band Championship, at St Columb's Park. The event is coming to L'Derry as part of the UK City of Culture celebrations.

Suburban Glengormley returned to normal yesterday evening after the Army dealt with a pipe bomb in Harmin Park. The PSNI helicopter was overhead of the Newtownabbey district - close to north Belfast - for most of Monday afternoon and some residents were asked to leave their homes, while the examination was carried out.

Pipe bomb attacks continue in Country Antrim
County Antrim has been the focus of several overnight incidents involving pipe bombs, which saw one Portrush man narrowly escape injury when his house was singled out for attack. The device was thrown through the window of the house in Glenmanus Park at around midnight on Monday 23 July, but failed to go off.
