Attorney General To Examine Papers Of Michaela McAreavey Murder
Northern Ireland's Attorney General is to examine papers from the trial into the murder of Michaela McAreavey it has been revealed.
Deputy First Minister Martin McGuinness is calling for the perpetrators of the killing to be brought to justice.
Mr McGunness said that there was "every prospect" of a new trial.
Attorney General John Larkin is expecting to receive information about the trial very soon according to his office.
Mrs McAreavey was murdered in her room in Mauritius while she was on her honeymoon.
Sandip Moneea and Avinash Treebhoowoon were cleared last Thursday of Mrs McAreavey's killing by a jury at the Supreme Court in Port Louis.

The solicitor acting for the man who is expected to be charged in connection with the 1998 Omagh bombing has criticised the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP). Peter Corrigan said it was “unacceptable” he had not been informed that the DPP had directed police to bring charges against his 35-year-old client, Sean Gerard Hoey.

Families To Sue Over McAreavey Murder
The families of John and Michaela McAreavey are to sue the hotel in Mauritius where Michaela’s murder took place. The amount being claimed by the Harte and McAreavey families is thought to total £1.3m. The Case is expected to be heard by the Mauritian Supreme Court on 15 November.

More Court Questions Over Mauritius Police Investigation
Police interrogated a suspect without a lawyer present and failed to take statements from people who were potential witnesses of a honeymoon murder. A court in Mauritius heard both claims today at the trial of two men accused of the murder of Michaela McAreavey.
