Youths petrol bomb Derry army base

An army base in Londonderry came under petrol bomb attack on Monday evening.

A number of youths attacked the base in Bishop's Street shortly before 9pm last night.

Although a number of devices were thrown there are no reports of any injuries.

A gang of youths was seen running away from the scene towards the Rossville Street area.

Family escape injury in petrol bomb attack
A family have escaped injury after their home was attacked with petrol bombs in Londonderry last night. Two devices were thrown at the family's home in the loyalist Fountain Estate at around 7.35pm. It is believed the devices were thrown from the nearby Bishop Street area.

Man appears in court over Thiepval Barracks bombing
A man has appeared in court in connection with an IRA bomb attack at a Lisburn army base eight years ago. Michael Gerard Rogan, 44, whose address was given as Culnaraith, Omeath, was arrested in the holiday resort of Playa de las Americas in Tenerife last week.

Police appeal following robbery in Portadown
Police are appealing for information following a robbery shortly before 8pm last night in Portadown, Co Armagh. A woman was walking home from the town centre when a youth approached her at the junction of Church Street and Ormonde Street and attempted to grab her shoulder bag. When she resisted, a second youth produced a knife and threatened her.

Three youths arrested after paint bomb attack
Three youths were arrested last night after paint bombs and stones were thrown at police in Londonderry. The officers were targeted at around 23:00 in the Fahan Street area. Earlier it had been reported that a paint bomb was thrown at a house in the Fountain area.

One Injured Following Petrol Bomb Attack In Craigavon
One person has been injured following a petrol bomb attack in Craigavon, Co Armagh. The incident at a house in the Lakelands area at around 11.30pm on Thursday, 23 March. The device was thrown at the window of the property and caused "substantial" damage. The occupant sustained minor injuries, and police described the attack as "reckless".
