Police launch murder enquiry

A murder investigation has been launched into the deaths of a man and a woman in Newtownabbey.

Police were called to a house at Ballyvesey Park in the New Mossley area on Saturday evening, after a member of the family failed to gain entry to the house.

Police officers discovered the bodies of 26-year-old Leanne McKee and 29-year-old Thomas Daly.

It is understood that Daly appears to have killed McKee before killing himself.

He is also believed to have had links to loyalist paramilitary group the UDA.

No one else is being sought in connection with the deaths.
