Walk 10K For Marie Curie - Campaign
Rugby star Niall O'Connor and radio presenter Carolyn Stewart brought their trainers up to Stormont to encourage people across Northern Ireland to walk 10k for Marie Curie Cancer Care.
Two 'Walk Ten' events are being held this summer - at Stormont on August 31 and at the Ulster American Folk Park on August 17 - with the aim of raising as much money as possible for free nursing care for people with terminal illnesses.
The walks, open to everyone across Northern Ireland, begin at 6pm and will be followed by festival-style evening activities including fireworks, live music and picnics.
At the Ulster American Folk Park, walkers will follow the world famous Irish emigrant trail from the thatched cottages of Ulster to the log cabins of the American Frontier.
Registration is £10 per adult.
Suzy McIlveen from the charity said Walk Ten events last year raised £400,000, enough to provide people with terminal illnesses with 20,000 hours of free care in their own homes.
She said: "We hope as many people as possible will sign up this year."
Supporter and Belfast Harlequins player Niall O'Connor said: "We have all been touched by cancer and it is so important to continue to raise funds for Marie Curie to enable them to provide the first class free nursing care that we rely on."

A pilot service offering frontline health and social care workers a free flu vaccine in their local pharmacy has been launched in the North West. Piloting the scheme in counties Fermanagh, Tyrone and L'Derry, the Health and Social Care Board hopes the scheme will make the jab a lot more convenient for staff.
