Peace One Day Concert Sells Out In Under 2 Hours
The Peace One Day concert in Ebrington Square in Londonderry sold out in less than two hours this morning, after tickets became available at 10:00am.
However, after benefactor Michael Hamyln offered to pay for the tickets, they were totally free to anyone who wanted them.
Additionally people who had already paid for tickets will get their money back.
The film producer said he is delighted to have made the gesture.
10,000 Free Tickets For Stormont Jubilee Party
Ten thousand free tickets will be available to the public for a party to celebrate the Queen's Diamond Jubilee later this month.
The event will take place in the grounds of the Stormont estate on 27 June, during a two-day visit to Northern Ireland by the Queen.
The tickets will be made available to the public through Ticketmaster from 09:00 BST on Tuesday 19 June.
Gun Jammed In Derry Man’s Face
A Londonderry man has described how a man tried to shoot him in the face but the gun jammed when he pulled the trigger three times.
Anthony Doherty, 54, from Glencaw Park said he had no idea why he was targeted in the early hours of Thursday.
He said it may have been a case of mistaken identity.
"It was my wife's birthday and we had a family get together at the house. In the early hours, two men came across the wall with a handgun," he said.
"The gun was pointed at my face and the trigger was pulled, but it jammed three times and they then ran off.
Police in Derry said they were investigating reports that a number of shots were fired in the city in the early hours of Thursday.

The promoter of this Saturday’s Live at the Beach concert at East Strand in Portrush has just announced the stage times for the concert. With headline acts including The Wanted - who are making their first NI appearance - and all girl pop band The Saturdays, (pictured here) the full schedule lists some seven hours of nonstop music at the event.

Family Fun Set For St George's Market
St George's Market is to host a family fun weekend on Saturday February 23rd and Sunday February 24th. There will be free face painting for all children – and adults too – and stilt walkers from the Premiere Circus will be mingling with customers throughout both days.

Tickets Go Free For MTV Outdoor Concert
Belfast City Council is to release free tickets to a huge outdoor concert at the City Hall as part of the MTV EMAs next month. Northern Ireland's Snow Patrol will appear on stage along with US singer-songwriter Jason Derulo and US rock trio Boyce Avenue, all playing to some 15,000 people on Sunday, November 6th.

Shop Worker Threatened With Knife In West Belfast Robbery
A female shop worker has been threatened with a knife during a burglary in west Belfast. The incident happened in the Lanark Way area in the early hours of Friday, 27 April. A man held the knife to a member of staff and demanded her to open the till. He left the shop and also threatened another worker.
