Teen Convicted Of Raping Five-Year-Old
A teenager has been convicted of raping a five-year-old boy.
The 14-year-old boy was convicted of raping the child and one count of sexually assaulting him, at Belfast Crown Court today.
Neither can be identified for legal reasons.
During the week long hearing, the victim testified via videolink.
The 14-year-old has been released on bail.
The recorder of Belfast, Judge Tom Burgess listed the case for mention on Friday 25th May to ascertain the best way forward.

Liam Adams has been jailed for 16 years for raping and abusing his daughter. In October 58-year-old Adams, brother of Sinn Féin's Gerry Adams, was convicted of 10 charges, including rape and gross indecency. The judge described the abuse suffered by Aine Adams, ho waived her right anonymity, as the "greatest imaginable breach of trust".

Two Convicted Murderers On The Run In NI
Four Northern Ireland prisoners, including two convicted murderers, are on the run after escaping from prison last month. The Department of Justice have currently listed the four convicts as "unlawfully at large". Samuel McKinley has been on the run since 19 January and he was convicted of murder.

Speculation mounts over British demilitarisation deal
The BBC has reported that the government is planning to offer a significant demilitarisation carrot to republicans. This may entail reducing army personnel numbers in the province to around 5,000 – in tandem with the scaling down of army watch-towers and bases.

Man charged in connection with Enniskillen rape released on bail
A 49-year-old taxi driver has appeared at Fermanagh Magistrates Court, charged with the rape of a teenager in Enniskillen on Monday. The man, who cannot be named for legal reasons, denies raping the 17-year-old girl. The detective leading the case old the court that he believed that he could connect the accused, to the crime.

Elderly Man Accused Of Raping Minor
A 67-year-old man is to appear in court today, charged with raping and indecently assaulting a minor. The man was detained by police yesterday. It is believed the alleged offences took place in east Belfast between 2005 and 2006. The man is expected to appear before Belfast Magistrates Court this morning, police said.
