Two People Seriously Injured In Attack

Two people have been seriously injured in an assault on Arthur Street, Belfast, in the early hours of Friday morning.

Three people in their 20's have been arrested.

One of the injured is in a critical condition.

Allinace south Belfast MLA Anna Lo said: "I am shocked at the viciousness of this attack. I do not know what could possess anybody to carry out such a brutal assault.

"I hope that the two people injured in this incident are able to make a full recovery from the injuries they sustained. My thoughts are with them and their family at this difficult time.

"I would like to praise the work of the ambulance crews who responded to this incident and the police who have made three arrests in connection with this crime."

Stabbing At Belfast College
Two people have been stabbed in an incident at the Millfield campus of Belfast Metropolitan College. One of the injured men is described as being in a critical condition, according to reports. The second injured man is understood to have been detained by police at the scene of the incident and is being treated as a suspect.

Three Police Officers Injured In Belfast Incident
A 35-year-old man has been arrested following an incident in which three police officers were assaulted in the early hours of this morning, Friday 13 December. The incident occurred around 12:20 AM on Dublin Road. When officers attempted to speak to the driver of a suspicious vehicle, he assaulted them and drove off a short distance.

Three People Injured In Racist Attack
Three people have been left injured after they were attacked by a gang earlier this week. The incident, which happened at Lawnmount Street in east Belfast, is being treated as a race hate crime, police have said. Between 9pm and 9.30pm, two men in their early 20s and a 19-year-old woman were attacked by a gang of around 15 people.

Woman dies while laying tribute to friend
A county Tyrone woman has died after being struck by a car as she laid flowers at the spot where a friend was killed just two-days earlier.
