BELFAST HOSTS DRUGS CONFERENCE AT CITY HALL
THE Minister for Health, Social Services and Public Safety, Bairbre de Brun, attended the eighth European Cities Against Drugs (ECAD) Mayors Conference at Belfast City Hall on June 14.
She said: “To maximise the health and wellbeing of all our population, we need to be non-judgemental and open-minded in examining ways to minimise harm.
“It is necessary that we continually explore new ways to address the problems associated with drug misuse and maximise the opportunities to take stock and learn from others working within the field.”
The Minister also outlined for delegates of the new arrangements for the joint implementation of the Drug Strategy and the Strategy for Reducing Alcohol Related Harm which were announced recently.
