FEXCO Jobs Announcement Welcomed

Fine Gael Kerry TD, Brendan Griffin, has welcomed the news that the Kerry-based company FEXCO is to create 25 new jobs at its facility in Caherciveen.

The company made the announcement after it secured a new contract from Aer Lingus to provide call centre services to the airline.

"This is a great boost for Caherviceen, and a very positive development for the Co Kerry based company. FEXCO has been a great success story since its foundation in 1984. Since then it has become one of Ireland’s largest indigenous outsourcing providers. The company has remained strongly anchored in Kerry throughout its development, and this latest announcement will add to its commitment to the area.

"Under the new contract, awarded by Aer Lingus after a tendering process, FEXCO will provide call centre support seven days a week to the airline’s customers. The contract is currently due to run until 2015. As well as providing 25 new jobs, this expansion strengthens the company’s base in Caherviceen.

"FEXCO has a proven track record in providing cost effective and customer oriented call centre services. I know that there is a strong and dedicated workforce in Caherciveen, and I am sure they are looking forward to the expansion in services."
