400 Jobs On Offer At Employment And Advice Fair
Joan Burton TD, Minister for Social Protection will visit the Employment and Advice Fair, which takes place in the Wexford Opera House and will be open on Friday 20th April from 3pm to 8pm, and Saturday 21st April from 12 noon to 5pm.
The event is aimed at Irish and EU workers looking for jobs locally and throughout Europe.
Speaking about the Fair, Minister Burton said: "I am delighted that over 400 jobs will be available at the Fair from local, national and international companies. Zurich Insurance PLC, Datapac Ltd, Quest Software, Aldi and Comfort Keepers are just some of the companies attending and recruiting for job vacancies in Ireland particularly in the Wexford area. There will also be a CV clinic as well as agencies offering advice in a variety of areas such as business start-up, taxation, training and education."
Jobs are available across a broad spectrum of areas such as Sales, Technical Support, Finance, Store Managers, Assistant Store Managers, Contact Centre Sales/Service Roles, IT Support, Food and Beverage staff, Housekeeping staff, Homecare Assistants and Tutors for Adult Education Programmes.
In addition, there will be a number of companies and agencies from other countries, including Czech Republic, Latvia, Lithuania, Norway, Poland, Sweden, Romania and the United Kingdom to advise their own nationals and Irish people who are interested in employment and career development options abroad in Construction, IT and Healthcare.
Running in tandem with this event will be Youth@Work, whose objective is to encourage young people into work with Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) and to start their own businesses through a series of workshops, talks and access to practical advice and assistance. There will be a number of different presenters, entrepreneurs and finance specialists, giving advice and holding workshops on how to get your career or new business off the ground.
