Clarke Marries Former Miss NI
Golf ace Darren Clarke has tied the knot with former Miss Northern Ireland Alison Campbell.
The wedding was held on the beach at Abaco Club, a golf and hotel resort in the Bahamas, yesterday.
The Open Champion, 43, and the model agency boss, 47, wed in front of family and friends.
Guests included Darren’s manager, Chubby Chandler, and fellow golfer Graeme McDowell who introduced the pair in 2009.
Chubby posted a picture of the newlyweds on twitter and tweeted: "Darren and Alison Clarke getting married on a spectacular day at the Abaco Club.
"A great spot for a wedding."
Dungannon man Clarke popped the question just before Christmas 2011. He won his first Major with a three-shot victory in the Open at Royal St George's last July.
Heather, the mother of his two sons Tyrone, ten, and Connor, seven, died of cancer in 2006.
The golfer previously said Alison was "put his life back on track" after Heather’s death.
