Members Appointed To The Board Of Invest NI

Enterprise Minister Arlene Foster has announced the appointment of Ken Nelson, Gerard O'Hare, Scott Rutherford and Rose Mary Stalker to the Board of Invest Northern Ireland (INI).

Welcoming the appointments, which will be for three years from 1 April 2012, Arlene Foster said: "I want to congratulate the Board members on their new appointment. The economic downturn means it is more essential than ever that we have strong and effective Board members who are equipped with all the skills and knowledge needed to help Invest Northern Ireland to grow innovation, exports, productivity and employment, as well as supporting wealth creation throughout Northern Ireland.

"I am confident that the experience and drive of the newly appointed Board members will prove vital as we continue to rebuild and rebalance the Northern Ireland economy."

The appointments were made in accordance with the Code of Practice of the Office of the Commissioner for Public Appointments, Northern Ireland. Board Member’s annual remuneration is currently £11,633.

CMASS Celebrates Fifth Anniversary
Enterprise, Trade and Investment Minister, Jonathan Bell, has joined the fifth anniversary celebrations of Mallusk based manufacturing service company CMASS. As part of the celebrations the Minister also announced a company investment of more than £500,000 and the creation of five new jobs.

People have been reminded that they have just a few days left to submit applications to become a member of the new Agri-Food Strategy Board. The Board will be made of up both industry and senior Government officials and its purpose is to develop a strategic plan for the agri-food sector up to 2020.
