Woman Injured In Arson Attack

Police in Lisburn are investigating an arson attack on a home in the Bellevue Terrace area of Derriaghy during the early hours of this morning.

Around 3:30am the 54 year old female occupant of the house discovered burning material had been pushed through the letterbox. She received a burn to her right forearm as she tried to put out the fire which was properly extinguished on police arrival.

Police in Newtownards are appealing for information following an incident of arson in the Court Street area of the town.

At approximately 3.15am, police noticed that a derelict property was alight. The NIFRS were called to distinguish the fire. It is believed that a neighbouring premises was affected by smoke damage.

Man Injured In Arson Attack In L'Derry
Police have issued an appeal for information following an arson incident in L'Derry. A man is being treated in hospital for injuries he sustained while trying to extinguish a fire on a vehicle outside a house in the Sevenoaks area of the city in the early hours of Sunday morning.

Suspected arson attack on West Belfast convent
A convent in West Belfast has been targeted in a suspected arson attack over the weekend. The Convent of Mercy in the Beechmount area suffered damage to the kitchen and the roof during the incident, which happened at around 9.50pm Friday.

Police Believe Two Arson Attacks In Co Down May Be Linked
Police have launched an investigation following two arson attacks in Kilkeel, Co Down. It is believed a petrol bomb was used to set a car on fire in Newry at around 2.20am on Wednesday, 11 May. Just over an hour later, police received a report that an unoccupied house in Carn Gardens had also been set on fire.
