£350K Worth Of Cannabis Seized
A large cannabis factory discovered by the police in County Fermanagh had an estimated value of £350,000. Eight hundred plants were discovered in a rural property near Coa, about five miles from Enniskillen. One man was arrested. He remains in custody. The house was being rented and the police have appealed to landlords to be vigilant as they believe there may be other properties in isolated rural areas being used as cannabis factories.Electrical engineers spent some hours making the property safe.
Man Charged Over Derry Rape
A man has been charged with the rape of a woman in Newry in December. The 21-year-old is due to appear before Newry Magistrates' Court today. The charge relates to the alleged rape of a 23-year-old woman on 11 December, 2011. The woman said she was raped after accepting a lift in the Sugar Island area of the city.
Separate Armed Robberies Shock Communities
A man armed with a knife has robbed an off licence in Newtownabbey, Co Antrim.
He threatened a member of staff at the business on the Carnmoney Road at around 7.50pm on Wednesday before making off with a sum of money. No-one was injured during the incident. Elsewhere a man armed with a claw hammer has robbed a bookies in west Belfast. He threatened a member of staff at the Falls Road premises at around 9.10pm before making off with a sum of money. No-one was injured in the incident.

Man Arrested In Connection With Dromara Assault
A 22-year-old man has been arrested in connection with a report of an assault at licenced premises at the Rathfriland Road area of Dromara. Detective Inspector Bell said: "Shortly before 10:10pm on Friday 15th December, it was reported that an altercation occurred at a bar in the area following three men refused entry to the premises.

Man Dies In Portadown Road Crash
An 18-year-old man has died following a collision in Portadown. The crash happened on the Dungannon Road between midnight and 12.30am on Wednesday, 08 November. The road has been re-opened. Elsewhere, a man, aged in his 30's, has died in a road collision in Co Antrim.

Man Released On Bail Over Lurgan Murder
A man arrested in connection with a murder in Lurgan on Sunday, 06 August, has been released on bail pending further enquiries. The body of a man, aged 45, was discovered at a flat on Victoria Street. Police are appealing for anyone with information to contact them.

Man Shot In County Down
A 28-year-old man has been shot in the leg in a gun attack in County Down. The man was getting out of his car at the Quays in Killyleagh at about 1.00am on Wednesday morning when a man approached him and shot him. The man is recovering in hospital where his injuries are not thought to be life threatening.
