Firmus Energy Running For Top Awards
Firmus Energy have announced they are among the top businesses in Northern Ireland to be shortlisted for the 'Excellence in Marketing' award at this year's Belfast Telegraph Business Awards.
The 2012 Belfast Telegraph Northern Ireland Business Awards in association with bmi will take place on Tuesday 24th April at the Ramada Plaza Hotel, Shaw’s Bridge. This year's awards ceremony has once again attracted a host of high calibre entries. Companies from all sectors of the business community entered the competition and the judges, chaired by Professor John Simpson, said the standard was higher than ever.
"Northern Ireland businesses put themselves on display to a large audience when they enter the Business Awards competition organised by the Belfast Telegraph. Not only do businesses success stories add creditability to each business, when they enter the Business Awards competition organised by the Belfast Telegraph.
"The Business Awards reflect the commitment of many businesses to tackle the impact of the market downturn and producing creative and progressive responses to maintain and expand their activities."
firmus energy has also been shortlisted in this year's prestigious UK Drum Marketing Awards and the AIM Awards Ireland. UK Drum Marketing Awards categories include ‘New Product/Service Launch of the Year’ and ‘Advertising strategy of the Year’. Firmus energy is up against other highly prestigious companies such as Footlocker, Ladbrokes, BT and Aldi.

Belfast City Council Scoops Excellence Award
Belfast City Council has received an excellence award in recognition of achieving a 40% recycling rate, its highest yet. The Sustainable Ireland Awards took place at the Ramada Hotel on Wednesday night with council receiving the Council Award for Excellence in Waste Management on the night.
