Loyalist Band Given Green Light For Parade
A loyalist parade, set to take place in Armagh on St Patrick’s Day, has been given the green light by Northern Ireland’s Parade’s Commission.
Despite concerns being raised the loyalist band, Cormeen Rising Sons of William, have been given permission to hold a procession with 40 other bands and more than 1000 supporters.
Earlier in the week Sinn Fein and the SDLP made representations to the Parade’s Commission outlining their concerns about the parade going ahead on the city’s biggest tourism day of the year.
However in a statement the Parade’s Commission said: "The oral and written representations it has received do not, on balance, warrant the imposition of further conditions on the parade.
"It has therefore decided not to amend its original determination of 8 March 2012 in respect of this parade."

DUP Hits Out At Decision To Ban Playing Music At Parade
The DUP has slammed the Parades Commission decision to ban the playing of music during part of Sunday's parade to the City of Belfast Loyal Orange Widows Fund Service. The Parades Commission decision restricts bands to a single drumbeat only from the junction of Carrick Hill and 18 Clifton Street to the junction of Union Street and Donegall Street.

Chief Constable under fire for 'dodging' meeting
PSNI Chief Constable Hugh Orde has been attacked by the Orange Order's Belfast Grand Master for what the Order views as "gross irresponsibility" over his refusal to meet with representatives concerned about a threat of violence hanging over Saturday's rerouted Whiterock parade.

A loyalist band that was filmed playing outside a Catholic Church in Belfast on the twelfth of July have been told they cannot walk past the same church on another parade next week. The Parades Commission has banned the Young Conway Volunteers band from marching past St Patrick’s Church on Donegall Street next Saturday.

Trouble Feared At Friday Band Parade
The fear of violent confrontation at a weekend band parade is increasing. Dissident republican activists and their supporters are planning to demonstrate at a permitted loyalist band parade on Friday night. As many as 40 bands are to take part in the predominantly nationalist village of Rasharkin.
