Rory McIlroy To Make £100m?

It is believed that Northern Ireland golf sensation, Rory McIlroy, could become one of the wealthiest sportsmen in the world if he keeps on track.

According to PR guru Max Clifford the 22-year-old golfer could be worth around £100m by the end of the decade if he remains the top of world golf.

The Ulsterman, who is currently worth tens of millions, it is predicted could see his worth soar if he continues to play well and stay out of trouble.

"If he continues to play golf the way he does with the success he does and sticks clear of any major scandals or problems, ie Tiger Woods, then I would say in the next 10 years he could comfortably make £100m," said Mr Clifford.

"Apart from the huge prizes for winning, there’s also huge sponsorship and endorsements so, providing he stays playing the golf as well as he is and keeps clear of any major personal disasters, then that’s the kind of money he could earn."
