Over 800 Jobs Available To Jobseekers At Employment And Advice Fair
Joan Burton TD, Minister for Social Protection will today visit the Employment and Advice Fair, which is in Blanchardstown Shopping Centre on Thursday and Friday, 1st and 2nd March.
Speaking about the Fair, Minister Burton said: "Over 800 jobs are available at the Fair from local, national and international companies including HP Ireland, Symantec Ireland, Penneys, eBay and PayPal. There is also a CV clinic as well as agencies offering advice in a variety of areas such as business start-up, taxation as well as training and education."
There are approximately 55 stands at the Employment and Advice Fair; 20 of these have been taken by local companies seeking to fill over 660 vacant positions. For example, eBay has 25 available positions, Symantec Ireland has 47 vacancies, PayPal is seeking to fill 50 positions while HP Ireland has 20 vacancies.
Jobs are available in areas such as catering, software development, java development, warehouse operatives, net development, hospitality, video game testing, testing leads, functional design, SAP (BW) contractors, multi-lingual sales, software development, customer support/technical support, retail sales, sales representatives, automotive operators, photography support professionals and HGV drivers.
In addition, there are a number of companies and agencies from other countries to advise their own nationals and Irish people who are interested in employment and career development options abroad and these have over 220 positions available in various areas of the construction, IT, health care and other industries.

The Tánaiste and the Minister for Social Protection, Joan Burton T.D., and the Minister of State, Kevin Humphreys have announced Jobs Week 2015, which will take place from 28 September to 02 October.
