Man Dies After Being Found Trapped Under Caravan
A man has died after being found trapped under a caravan in County Down. The man was found under the caravan at about 10:15 GMT on Wednesday on the Leestone Road in Kilkeel. The man who is in his 50s was taken to hospital and said to be in serious condition. He has since died. Newry and Mourne District Council have begun an investigation.
MLA Calls For Increase In Organ Donors
A plea for an increase in organ donors has been made by an MLA whose son's life was saved by a transplant. Ulster Unionist Jo-Anne Dobson told Assembly members the government must raise awareness of the great need for organ donors. The Upper Bann representative said her family had experienced the life-saving potential of such procedures. "I speak today not only as an MLA, but as the mother of a successful kidney transplant patient," she said.
Charges Made After Fuel Theft
Three men are due to appear in court charged after £10,000 of diesel was stolen. The trio, aged 23 and two 27-year-olds, are charged with theft. One of the 27-year-olds is also charged with possession with intent to supply a class B drug, possession of a class B drug and cultivating cannabis. The fuel was stolen in the Ballymena area on Tuesday. During follow-up searches at a property in Coleraine, police uncovered £15,000 of cannabis.They are expected at Ballymena Magistrates Court on Thursday.

Man Arrested In Connection With Dromara Assault
A 22-year-old man has been arrested in connection with a report of an assault at licenced premises at the Rathfriland Road area of Dromara. Detective Inspector Bell said: "Shortly before 10:10pm on Friday 15th December, it was reported that an altercation occurred at a bar in the area following three men refused entry to the premises.

An 18-year-old man has died following a collision in Portadown. The crash happened on the Dungannon Road between midnight and 12.30am on Wednesday, 08 November. The road has been re-opened. Elsewhere, a man, aged in his 30's, has died in a road collision in Co Antrim.

Man Released On Bail Over Lurgan Murder
A man arrested in connection with a murder in Lurgan on Sunday, 06 August, has been released on bail pending further enquiries. The body of a man, aged 45, was discovered at a flat on Victoria Street. Police are appealing for anyone with information to contact them.

80% Increase In NI Organ Donors
Northern Ireland has seen an increase of 81.8% in deceased organ donors over the last five years. The news comes as the NHS confirms it has achieved its target of a 50% increase for the whole of the UK, as laid out in the Organ Donation Taskforce in 2008.

Man Shot In County Down
A 28-year-old man has been shot in the leg in a gun attack in County Down. The man was getting out of his car at the Quays in Killyleagh at about 1.00am on Wednesday morning when a man approached him and shot him. The man is recovering in hospital where his injuries are not thought to be life threatening.
