Ian Paisley Making Progress, Says Junior

Former Northern Ireland First Minister Ian Paisley is said to be making steady progress after being admitted to hospital last week.

A report from his son North Antrim MP, Ian Paisley Junior, has revealed that Lord Bannside is doing well.

Talking to on a BBC radio show Paisley Junior said that his father has "demonstrated that there is life in the old dog yet".

Lord Bannside, who is 85, was taken ill earlier this month and was originally being treated in the intensive care unit of the Ulster Hospital in Dundonald. It is believed he was being treated for a heart condition.

Last week, Mr Paisley was moved out of intensive care at the hospital.
