Man Arrested In Connection With Dissident Activities
A 35-year-old man has been arrested by detectives investigating dissident republican activities. The suspect was detained following a number of searches in the west Belfast area today. Detectives from the PSNI's Serious Crime Branch removed a number of items during the raids. The man has been detained for questioning.
Major Initiative Launched To Help NI Construction Firms
Enterprise Minister Arlene Foster has announced a major initiative to help local construction and civil engineering companies win business. The Minister was speaking at the first in a series of events being planned by Invest Northern Ireland to enable local companies to develop contacts with contractors already working on the huge investment project in London. Twelve buyers from major contractors, such as Balfour Beatty, BAM Nuttall, Ferrovial Kier, Carillion, Costain, EDF,and Morgan Sindall, met directors of 40 local companies in the House of Lords at a special 'Meet the Buyer' dinner and networking event about Crossrail opportunities. Ms Foster said: "Crossrail is now the largest and most comprehensive construction and civil engineering project in Europe. The investment to create an underground rail network for the 21st century presents huge business opportunities for Northern Ireland companies across a broad range of sectors."
Man Charged With Poleglass Rape
A man has been arrested in connection with a rape in Poleglass last week. A 29-year-old man, arrested by detectives from PSNI Rape Crime Unit, has been charged with rape. Police said the charge was in connection with an incident at a house in Poleglass, on the outskirts of west Belfast, on Thursday 16 February. The man is due to appear at Laganside Magistrates Court on Monday 20 February.

Man Arrested On Suspicion Of Attempted Murder
A man has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder over an attack in Coleraine, Co L'Derry. A man, aged in his 50s, is in a critical condition in hospital after he was assaulted at a house on the Ballycastle Road on Monday, 26 September. Two other men were also arrested and have been released on bail pending further enquiries.

Man Arrested Following Incident At House In Coleraine
A 43-year-old man has been arrested in connection with an incident at a house in Coleraine, Co L'Derry. It happened at a property on Knockantern Grove in the Mountsandel area on Tuesday, 16 August. The suspect has been arrested on suspicion of possessing of an offensive weapon with intent to commit an offence and assault on police.

Man Released On Bail Over Lurgan Murder
A man arrested in connection with a murder in Lurgan on Sunday, 06 August, has been released on bail pending further enquiries. The body of a man, aged 45, was discovered at a flat on Victoria Street. Police are appealing for anyone with information to contact them.

Man Arrested Over George Gilmore Murder
Police have arrested a 23-year-old man in connection with the murder of loyalist George Gilmore. Mr Gilmore, aged 44, was shot in the neck in Carrickfergus on Monday, 13 March. He died from his injuries in hospital the following day, 14 March. A 32-year-old man arrested on Sunday, 19 March, has been released.

Man arrested over Electoral Office fraud
A 58-year-old man from Co Tyrone has been arrested and charged following a police investigation into irregularities at an Electoral Office in the west of the province. The man was charged with 30 offences, 17 of which relate to theft and 13 of fake accounting. He will appear before a court in Omagh on November 11.
