Ian Paisley Spends Third Night In Hospital
The former First Minister of Northern Ireland and DUP leader, Ian Paisley, has spent his third night in hospital.
Lord Bannside, who is 85, was taken ill on Sunday last but the severity of his condition is not yet known.
He is being treated in the intensive care unit of the Ulster Hospital in Dundonald. It is believed he is being treated for a heart condition.
Family members, including Ian Paisley Jnr, have visited him in the hospital but have not revealed any more details about Lord Bannside’s condition.
Northern Ireland's political leaders have urged people to pray for the Rev Ian Paisley.
The family have passed on their thankfulness of an outpouring of public support but have also requested that the family's privacy is respected at a difficult time.

The DUP has been left behind as the sole NI party not to have revealed which of its members have family members employed in backroom posts. Details emerged from the Ulster Unionist Party (UUP) - where it has been revealed that seven UUP members are currently employing family members - and paying them from the public purse.
