Bus Stop Injury Victim Named

John Hickey, 72, has been named as the man who died last Saturday following an incident at a Belfast City Centre bus stop.

Mr Hickey died as a result of head injuries sustained near Central Library on Royal Avenue at 4:35pm.

A 30-year-old man was arrested at the scene and was later released.

Police have not ruled out the possibility of a disagreement at the bus stop.

A viable device has been left close to a public bus stop in Craigavon in an attempt to murder police officers. Police were called to the Tullygally Road at around midnight on Friday night, 26 July, following reports of a loud bang.

Two Men Injured In Separate Shooting Attacks In Belfast
Two men have been seriously injured in separate shooting attacks in Belfast on Sunday, 28 January. A 41-year-old man was shot in both legs and an arm in the Divismore Park area of Ballymurphy in west Belfast. Elsewhere, a 26-year-old man was shot in the legs in the Upper Meadow Street area in north Belfast.
