Bus Evacuated After It Catches Fire
A bus with 20 passengers had to be evacuated after it caught fire in Belfast.
The double-decker bus was in York Street at around 7pm on Tuesday evening.
The fire was spotted by another motorist.
It is believed a technical problem may have started the fire at the back of the bus.
No one was injured in the incident.
The Fire and Rescue Service brought the fire under control.

ASSEMBLY CREATE AWARD TO HONOUR FIRE SERVICE
THE Northern Ireland Fire Service is to receive the first ever award given by the province's devolved assembly. An illuminated scroll is to be presented to Chief Fire Officer John McClelland on Tuesday, by assembly speaker Lord Alderdice in tribute to the sacrifice made by fire fighters over the years.

Translink Bus Strike 'Back On' From 17-23 May
The bus strike "is back on", the GMB Union has announced after their members rejected a revised pay offer. The union has said that drivers, cleaners and shunters across the company will walk out for seven days from 17 to 23 May 2022, "causing the entire bus network to grind to a halt".

Bus Catches Fire In Lurgan
An investigation is underway after a bus caught fire just outside of Lurgan, Co Armagh. The incident happened at around 7.45am today, 03 November. Translink has said the Ulsterbus was travelling between Dungannon and Belfast at the time. No-one was injured in the incident and the driver and seven passengers have been transferred onto another bus.

NIFRS Launches Online Home Fire Safety Check Tool
The Northern Ireland Fire & Rescue Service (NIFRS) has introduced a new online tool to help residents assess their home fire safety. The Home Fire Safety Check coincides with Fire Safety Week, which runs from September 30th to October 6th. The initiative aims to reduce the number of house fires in Northern Ireland.
