Elton John Confirms Belfast Date

Elton John and His Band will bring their unforgettable Greatest Hits Show to Belfast's Odyssey Arena in June, his first show in the city since June 2007.

As one of the greatest and most successful live artists, his spectacular stage shows continue to leave the competition standing.

On Thursday June 7th Elton will perform over two hours of hits from an incredible back catalogue, including such classics as Bennie and The Jets, Crocodile Rock and Your Song.

With a career that spans five decades, Elton John is one of the top-selling solo artists of all time. Along with his long-term lyricist Bernie Taupin, Elton has achieved 35 gold and 25 platinum albums, 29 consecutive Top 40 hits and has sold an amazing 250-million records worldwide. He has been awarded numerous Grammy, Oscars, Ivor Novello and Brit Awards, as well as a knighthood from the Queen.

Tickets go on sale Thursday 2 February at 9.00am.

Music Video Role For Jimmy Nesbitt

He is said to have jumped at the chance to do it after he has head-hunted by pop legend, Elton John.

John Hume Awarded 'Greatest' Honour
Former SDLP stalwart, John Hume has spoken of his "tremendous honour" at being awarded the prize of 'Ireland's Greatest'. An RTÉ programme had whittled a top 40 contenders down to five this week, with viewers in the Irish Republic then voting the former SDLP leader to the top spot.

Murder Investigation Launched Over 1974 Benburb Killing
Police have launched a murder investigation into the death of a man who was killed by soldiers in County Tyrone over 40 years ago. John Pat Cunnningham, 27, was shot by members of an Army patrol in Benburb on 15th June 1974. The case has been re-opened and a murder investigation has begun.

Applications Open For The Late Late Toy Show 2023
RTÉ has announced that applications for The Late Late Toy Show 2023 have officially opened. The broadcaster’s annual Christmas show has started with the search underway for this year’s ‘Toy Show superstars’. Comedian Patrick Kielty is to host the show after he was announced as successor to Ryan Tubridy.
