PSNI Concerned Over Missing Somalian Girl
Police have become concerned over the whereabouts of Somalian girl who went missing last weekend. Nadra Sharis Ali, 16, was last seen at the Islamic Centre in the Wellington Park area of Belfast on Saturday. She is described to be of a slim build,to be 5ft 6in tall and was last seen wearing a black and orange burka. Police have asked anyone who have may have seen Nadra or have any information to contact them.
Man Arrested Over Body Find Released
A man who was questioned by police after the remains of a woman were found in south Belfast last year has been released.The remains were found in a house in Donegall Avenue in April 2011 and a forensic pathologist said they could have been there for up to a year. The woman was later identified as 37-year-old Julie Ann Watson, from the Donegall Road area of the city. Yesterday a 28-year-old man was arrested in the Carrickfergus area. He was later released on bail pending further inquiries.
Swann Urges Action On Balmoral Site
Ulster Unionist MLA for North Antrim, Robin Swann, has commented following the January monitoring round which exposed a £2 million shortfall in the Department of Culture, Arts and Leisure due to the failure to secure a buyer for the former Public Records Office at Balmoral Avenue in South Belfast. The Culture, Arts and Leisure Spokesperson commented: "The Public Records Office of Northern Ireland (PRONI) has moved to its new site at the Titanic Quarter and this is a unique service which provides a national archival institution for Northern Ireland. It has a record of many important artefacts, for example, it has a digitised archive of all the signatures of the Ulster Covenant. "This state of the art facility was budgeted for by the Department and has been delivered. However, the January monitoring round now highlights the lack of movement with regard to the sale of the old site at Balmoral Avenue. The 2011-12 departmental budget shows a -£2 million capital investment in PRONI and due to the fact this has not materialised there is now a substantial hole in the budget. "I would urge the Minister to act in this particular area to ensure a resolution as we currently have premises worth upwards of £2 million not being utilised.

Two Men Attacked With Baseball Bats In Co Antrim
Two 18-year-old men have been attacked with baseball bats in Whitehead, Co Antrim. The victims were closing premises in the Balmoral Avenue area at around 8.30pm on Tuesday, 04 October when three men assaulted them. Both men were treated in hospital for their injuries. One has been discharged, and the other remains in hospital.

Staff threatened in armed robbery in South Belfast
Police have appealed for information following an armed robbery in South Belfast last night. Two men, one armed with a handgun, entered an off-licence on the Upper Lisburn Road at around 8.25pm. The robbers approached members of staff and forced them to hand over an undisclosed sum of money before making their escape.

DCAL 'Overspends £25m On Landmark Buildings'
The Department of Culture, Arts and Leisure (DCAL) has been criticised by the audit office for allowing seven landmark buildings to go over budget. An outdoor pursuits centre, five arts buildings and the public records office were the multi-million pound building projects. They were largely paid for by DCAL.

The PSNI have issued an appeal for help in tracing the whereabouts of 31-year-old Conor Bradley. Conor was last seen on Saturday, 29 January. He is described as 6'6", of slim build with ginger hair. He is believed to be in the Belfast area, according to police. Anyone with any information about Conor or his whereabouts is urged to contact police.

A pensioner and two children have escaped injury after a shot was fired at a property in Carrickfergus, Co Antrim. The incident happened at a house in the Woodburn Avenue area just after 9.30pm on Wednesday, 18 January. The front door of the property was significantly damaged. Two men were seen fleeing from the house.
