Search For Missing Cyclist Continues
The search for a cyclist, who went missing at the weekend, is still ongoing, as the police remain concerned for his safety.
Samuel Campbell, 49, went out cycling on Sunday at 14.15 in the Kells area of County Antrim and failed to return.
The 49-year-old was last seen wearing a red top with the symbol TCG, black cycling leggings and cycle glasses and it is understood that it would be very unusual for him not to contact his family.
Currently the police are following various lines of inquiry including the view that Mr Campbell may have had an accident or fallen ill.
Mr Campbell would have often covered up to 20 miles on his outings so the search is covering a wide area, including Kells, Ballymena, Clough, Ahoghill and Cullybackey. Farmers in these areas are being urged to check their outbuildings and land.
Although the police remain concerned for Mr Campbell they are hopeful that he is still alive but at the moment they just do not have enough information to go on.
